Welcome to the website for the Office of Financial Aid. We realize that choosing a college and financing that college education is one of the most important decisions that a person can make. We are delighted that Albany State University is your institution of choice.

You have been assigned a Financial Aid Advisor, which is based on the first letter in your last name. This person is available and prepared to assist you with the application process. Your advisor's name, telephone number and email address can be found on the main page. We encourage you to peruse this site and Banner Web (which can be accessed from the institution's home page) to learn the application process, the sources of financial aid, and your rights and responsibilities for maintaining your eligibility for financial aid.

If there is a need for you to visit our office, we welcome you, and we ask that you allow us to maximize the service we provide for all of our students by visiting our office during the regular conference hours listed below:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday
10:00 - 12:00 and 2:00 - 4:00

Tuesdays and Thursdays
9:00 - 11:00 and 3:00 - 5:00

Financial Aid Mission

The Albany State University Office of Financial aid will provide financial assistance to students and parents for the purpose of financing their education. The Office of Financial Aid Office will serve its customers (actual and potential) by providing proper customer service, adequate consumer information and also by providing adequate financial aid packages to meet their financial needs, based on their individual eligibility, to meet there cost of attendance (direct and indirect).

Annual Goals

  • To improve the customer satisfaction of the Office of Financial Aid
  • To increase our customer’s knowledge about financial aid including Federal, State and institutional regulations, policies and procedures.
  • To help prepare students for prepare for life after college by proving training of credit and debt management by providing proper exit counseling and ensuring that consumer information is disseminated to our customers

Whereas in ASU website, we recommend you to clear the cache regularly to increase your browser's performance which ensure that you are accessing the recently updated pages. Deleting cookies and temporary files in the browser resolves many of the general browser problems.
