Library Policies

Circulation Policies

Currently enrolled ASU students, faculty and staff receive borrowing and password privileges via their ASU ID Card. All users must have a valid ASU RamID card to borrow library
resources. Galileo Passwords can be accessed through the Web Voyage/RAMCAT Online Catalog. A valid library account is required. At the GIL/RAMCAT homepage, click on "Patron Information," enter your patron barcode, and enter your last name. Next, click on "Request" from the menu selection and choose "Galileo Password" from the drop-down menu. For further information, you may contact the Circulation Department at (229) 430-4805.

Loan Periods

  • General Books : Three(3) Weeks
  • Audio-Visual Resources : Three (3) Days
  • Reserve Resources : Per Professor's Instructions

Reserve materials are available at the circulation desk in the library. Overnight checkout of reserve materials is allowed only at closing time, and resources are due by opening time the next day. All materials on reserve are not allowed for overnight checkout. Faculty may set reserves for a longer time period. Reference resources, government documents and periodicals are for in-library use only.

Overdue and Lost Book Charges……………………………….10 cents/Day

Lost or Severely Damaged………………………………$50.00 Replacement Cost

Renewals, requests, holds, books may be renewed if there is no hold on them. Library Resources may be renewed by phone. Renewals, requests, and holds may be done through the Web Voyage RAMCAT Online Catalog. Please include your name and barcode number from your ASU ID card. This way, our computers can quickly reload pages each time we view them without having to retrieve them from the network afresh. Whereas in ASU website, we recommend you to clear the cache regularly to increase your browser's performance which ensure that you are accessing the recently updated pages. Deleting cookies and temporary files in the browser resolves many of the general browser problems.
