Creative Arts

Write Your Own Life Story

  • Have you ever thought about writing your life story?  Does your family know much about its heritage?  Join us as we learn how to examine your life, writing down memorable moments and creating a legacy of life-changing experiences for future generations to read.  We will help you write your stories in an enjoyable and informative way using memory recall (yours, family members, and friends), by conducting interviews, collecting old photographs, searching old yearbooks and other printed materials in your possession as well as other members of your family.  You will find that the stories you write will heal, inspire, and entertain.  Yours is a story that only you can tell!

Beginning Cake Decorating

  • Health is a dynamic state where optimal body functioning is maintained. This course is designed to provide knowledge about the behaviors that can either maintain or degrade human health, so you will learn how to make healthy decisions throughout your lifespan. Content includes: emotions and the body; behavior and drugs; the family and mental health; personal health care; the body and disease; and health in society.

  • Fire Safety for the Daycare Provider
  • Are you a daycare provider or are you thinking about becoming one?  Did you know that the State Fire Marshall requires this three-hour certification course every three years for license renewal?  If this is your renewal year, then we are offering you two opportunities to become re-certified.

Basic Etiquette for Pre-Teens

  • Ever wonder why there is more than one fork next to your plate at restaurants?  Do you think it is just in case you drop one?  If you answered, “Yes” to either of these questions, then this course is for you!  Not only will you learn dining etiquette, but also some telephone manners and appropriate greetings.
